What We Do
DecisionLab is an independent Australian financial calculator platform. We build free, interactive tools that help Australians understand their tax, superannuation, property costs, salary, and investments — using current ATO rates, state revenue office data, and APRA guidelines.
Our financial professionals directory lists over 73,000 registered financial advisers, mortgage brokers, credit representatives, and financial services licensees — all sourced from official ASIC government registers. Every listing is verified and includes registration details, qualifications, and experience.
Our Approach
Current and accurate. All calculators are updated for FY 2025–26. We use official tax brackets, superannuation guarantee rates, award rates, and stamp duty schedules. When rates change, we update within days.
Free, no sign-up. Every calculator and directory page is free to use. No account required, no email gate, no paywalled features. We believe financial literacy tools should be accessible to everyone.
Privacy-first. We don't collect personal data through our calculators. Your inputs are processed in your browser — nothing is sent to our servers. We use Google Analytics to understand which tools are most useful.
Independent. DecisionLab is not affiliated with any bank, lender, super fund, or financial institution. Our recommendations and tools are unbiased. We may earn revenue through advertising and affiliate partnerships, which is clearly disclosed.
Data Sources
Our calculators use data from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), state and territory revenue offices, the Fair Work Commission, the Reserve Bank of Australia, and the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA). Our financial professionals directory sources data from data.gov.au under Creative Commons licensing, specifically the ASIC Financial Advisers Register, Credit Licensee Register, Credit Representative Register, and AFS Licensee Register.
